Frank Scire
Brooklyn's Truck Man.
50 years of grease, grit, and an unshakeable commitment to keeping New York's trucks on the road โ a legacy built by a family that bleeds diesel.
"When a truck breaks down, someone's livelihood stops. I take that seriously. Every single time."
โ Frank Scire, Founder & CEO
Built on Honesty, Driven by Craft
In Brooklyn, where the streets are tough and the business climate tougher, Frank Scire built something rare โ a truck repair shop that people actually trust.
Frank didn't inherit a business empire. He built one from the ground up with calloused hands, an encyclopedic knowledge of diesel engines, and a simple philosophy his father drilled into him: do the job right, treat every customer like family, and never cut corners.
What started as a family operation on Atlantic Ave has grown into one of Brooklyn's most respected heavy-duty truck repair facilities โ a 17,000-square-foot state-of-the-art shop trusted by city agencies, government fleets, and major corporations across the tri-state area.

Frank's reputation isn't built on advertising โ it's built on results. On the fleet manager who calls at 6am because he knows Frank will answer. On the city agency that's relied on Tri-State for decades because they've never been let down.
On the driver who passes three other shops to reach Atlantic Ave because Frank's team fixes it right the first time.
But Frank will be the first to tell you: this was never just his story. It starts with his father, Joe Scire โ a legend in the industry who shaped everything Frank became. And it continues with his brother Joe Jr., who stands beside him running the business today.
At Tri-State, this is a Scire family story.
Three Generations. One Standard.
Tri-State isn't just a business โ it's a family tradition built on honesty, hard work, and an unrelenting commitment to doing things right.
Joe Scire Sr. is a legend in this business. Trucks were never just his career โ they were his life's calling. He dedicated himself completely to the trade, building a reputation across the entire New York area that no amount of marketing could manufacture.
When Joe retired, Frank brought him back into the fold โ and that decision transformed everything. Joe's decades of wisdom, his industry relationships, and above all his values shaped Tri-State into what it is today. He is now retired, living a beautiful and well-earned life, but his fingerprints are on every truck that leaves that shop.
"Always do the right thing โ it will follow you, and you will always have that customer relationship and trust."
Frank took everything his father Joe taught him and built something permanent with it. Starting from the ground up on Atlantic Ave, he grew Tri-State into a 17,000-square-foot institution trusted by city agencies, government fleets, and corporate accounts across the tri-state area.
His father's words never left him. Every decision Frank has made โ from how repairs are priced to how customers are spoken to โ traces back to Joe's ironclad principle: do the right thing.
"My father is a legend in this business. He brought us to where we are today. Everything we built here started with him."
Joe Jr. grew up with the same values his father instilled in Frank โ an understanding that in this business, your word is your most valuable asset. As Frank's brother and co-owner, he brings that same commitment to every customer interaction and every repair.
Together, Frank and Joe Jr. run Tri-State the way their father intended โ as partners, as brothers, and as stewards of a name that took decades to build and will never be compromised.
"We grew up watching our father live those values every single day. There was never a question about how we'd run this place."
A Legacy Built Over Decades
Frank began his journey as a young mechanic learning every inch of a diesel engine the hard way โ getting his hands dirty. Guided by his father Joe's example, he developed a rare ability to diagnose problems that stumped other mechanics.
Frank established Tri-State at 1927 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn. Joe Sr. came back out of retirement to help Frank and Joe Jr. build the business โ bringing decades of industry knowledge and relationships. From day one: accurate diagnostics, honest pricing, work you can see for yourself.
Tri-State earned partnerships with Holman Fleet, Penske Fleet, Coupa Suppliers, and Enterprise Vehicles. City agencies including MTA, NYCHA, USPS, and UPS began relying on Tri-State to keep their mission-critical fleets running.
Frank invested in a facility worthy of the work โ 17,000 square feet equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, capable of everything from routine PM services to full engine rebuilds, all under one roof in the heart of Brooklyn.
Frank developed the FleetGuard Membership Program โ a structured preventive maintenance system helping fleet operators reduce downtime, predict failures early, and lower long-term repair costs. Joe Sr.'s proactive philosophy, packaged for the modern fleet.
The legend Joe Sr. started, the business Frank built, the future Frank and Joe Jr. carry forward together. One family. One standard. Fifty years and counting.
Frank's Three Unbreakable Rules
Frank built his reputation on accurate root-cause diagnostics. His shop doesn't replace parts hoping for the best โ they find the actual cause, fix it properly, and make sure it doesn't come back. 96% first-time fix rate.
Every repair comes with full accountability. Frank's policy of keeping and showing customers their old parts is a statement of character โ not just good practice. You'll always know exactly what was replaced and why. Joe Sr. taught him that.
In trucking, time is money. Every hour a truck sits in the shop is revenue lost for the operator. Frank's team works with urgency and precision so your vehicles get back on the road fast โ without sacrificing quality.
"I tell every customer the same thing โ we're going to find out what's wrong, we're going to fix it right, and we're going to show you every part we replaced. That's the deal. It's always been the deal. My father taught me that."Frank Scire โ Founder & CEO, Tri-State Truck & Trailer Repair
More Than a Shop โ A Standard of Excellence
Frank Scire didn't set out to build the biggest truck repair company in Brooklyn. He set out to build the best one. Guided by his father Joe's wisdom and partnered with his brother Joe Jr., those two things became the same.
This legacy is measured in the trust of fleet managers who've worked with Tri-State for twenty years, in drivers who know they'll be treated fairly, and in a team trained to hold themselves to the Scire standard.
When you bring your fleet to Tri-State, you're not just hiring a repair shop. You're tapping into 50 years of a family's commitment to doing things right.
